My amazing story of Jesus rescuing me.
 Of the many testimonies of salvation, my story of salvation is really something special. I find it very rare for somebody to be saved without becoming completely broken and shattered before reaching out to God. This is what happened to me. The story I'm about to tell you is something I rarely share with people. It is very personal to me. I changed the names of the people involved so nobody would get mad.

How I met Sandy
I was 18 and working at a pizza shop. It was a great job that gave me something to do while earning a few extra bucks to improve my recording studio. I hadn't really been close to a girl in years so I asked this girl I worked with if she ever wanted to hang out when she wasn't busy..She decided to include me in her plans and invited my friend and I to a drinking party. We went and it was then that I discovered that Sandy had a boyfriend. I was immediately jealous.

Disaster Strikes
When the next day rolled around, I asked Sandy if she wanted to go to my friend Jake's house. He was having a drinking party. She agreed to go and that's when she met my friend Dan. She grew very attached to Dan from the beginning and soon they began dating. This is when they both started ignoring me. At this point, I felt ditched and forgotten. I really liked Sandy and couldn't stop thinking about her night and day. Then we were all at Jake's house one weekend and I couldn't stand to see Dan and Sandy together. I went downstairs in the basement and drank until I couldn't see straight. I was so sad. Then Jake came down and said "dude, why are you down here?" I didn't want to admit why I needed to be alone, but I knew he could tell. Then he said the words that brought me lower than I will ever be in my life. I'll never forget what he said to me as he walked back upstairs: "Dude, it's never gonna happen so get over it". It shattered any hope I had for being with Sandy.

My Darkest Hour
 I completely lost any sense of self control. I cried harder than you will ever see anyone cry. Tears poured out like a faucet as I came to grips with reality: I will never be with Sandy. I was so low I wanted to die, but there was no strength in me to kill myself. I grabbed a blanket and cuddled up in a corner on the cold, cement basement floor. The room was dark. You see, I always walk through life with hope of something. Hope that someday things will get better. Not now. I was not thinking about the future. I couldn't see 5 minutes ahead of myself. Whether I would be dead or alive. In devastating defeat, I reached out for help from an unknown source. I prayed to God, asking him for a miracle.

My Miracle Arrives
I prayed that night and continuously for the next several weeks specifically asking for a miracle: that he would put Sandy and I together. I went on my 15 minute break at work and went to Kmart. I went to the book section and grabbed a book about prayer. I needed to know how God answered prayer, and how long it would take. I read that when you cry out to God for help, he will not necessarily grant you what your asking for, but He will find a solution for your pain. I just realized that this meant that I had been doing all this praying for nothing. He wouldn't put us together, and the last thing on my mind was another girl. I went back to work and took an order for a girl named Bethany (this is her real name). I figured I needed to get Sandy off my mind, so I walked over to Bethany and asked her if she wanted to chill sometime. Before I even walked over to her, she already had her phone # written down. She gave me her number and left. About 2 hours later, an elderly lady walked in the pizza place with her husband. She ordered pizza and gave me the name Miracle for her order. Wow!

Happily Married
 Here's where my testimony of salvation skips forward a little bit. After completely recognizing the power of God working in my life, I made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I ended up marrying Bethany and I no longer think about Sandy Every time I see her around town, it really reminds me of what God did for me. I love God so much and he delivered me from the path of destruction I was on. He had to shatter me into a billion pieces before he could rebuild me, but now that I see him for who He really is, it's impossible to look away. Thank you God!
