Spiritual Warfare Prayers
Spiritual warfare prayers are said to God when struggling to maintain faith. Is that you? I want you to know that there are many things that I write about on this website that I wish I would apply in my own life, because sometimes my faith is really shallow. But being a christian, I've been on the spiritual battlefield. trying my hardest not to buy into Satan's lies. I guess I can talk from experience. Before saying any spiritual warfare prayers, I want to test your focus. Can you focus? Imagine you were the disciple Peter. Imagine you were sitting in the very same boat Peter sat in, while on the Sea of Galilee. You see Jesus walking on water. What's going through your mind? No, really, what's going through your mind? You ask Jesus if you can walk towards him, and he responds "come". You get out of the boat, and you set your eyes on Jesus. Step after step, you are actually walking on water! Then you take your eyes off him for 1 second to take notice of the huge gust of wind whipping it's way toward you. Then you sink. For one brief moment, you doubted Him. If you had 100% focus on Jesus and only Jesus, would you have even noticed the gust of wind?
Spiritual Warfare Prayers Light vs Darkness
The word "darkness" is used in the bible many times to describe spiritual darkness, or the realm of Satan. If you have been saved by Jesus Christ, you were saved because you understand and accept that he died to pay the penalty for your sins and you do the will of the father. This means that you are in the light. Now imagine sitting in a basement at 2AM. There are no lights on and you are sitting in complete darkness. You light a candle, and set it on the table. Now examine the candle. How does the darkness affect the light? It doesn't! Does the darkness have any power over the light? Nope. Wherever the light goes, the darkness dies because darkness is simply the absence of light. That's why you can't go to Walmart and buy a flashdark. Now ponder this: Jesus said "if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!". If you have the light of Jesus Christ in you, darkness has absolutely no power over you.
Spiritual Warfare Prayers Romans Chapter 6
Here's a brief summary of what Romans chapter 6 tells us. Do you consider yourself to be a born again christian? You consider yourself to be saved? I want to make sure that you have the light in you. If your saved, your not saved by some prayer you repeated, not because Jesus was whipped, not because the Romans put a crown of thorns on his head, and not even because they nailed him to a cross. Your saved because while he was on that cross, he bore your sin and all the wrath that was supposed to fall on you.Romans 6 tells us that when he died, we died with him, along with all of our sins. When he rose again, so did we. You now have all the knowledge and tools needed to overcome temptation and defeat sin. If you sin, it will be because you choose to, because that's not the realm you now live in. A pig, by nature will stick his head in a filthy garbage can and eat out of it, because that comes natural to him. But if that pig was born again into a human, he would not stand to put his head back in there and feed off garbage, it's not natural for him to do so!
Spiritual Warfare Prayers What Should I Say?
Dear God, I am currently struggling with keeping my focus on you. ( briefly describe your circumstances ). I'm asking you to help me build my faith in you. Sin is so overwhelmingly difficult sometimes. Please teach me how to love the things that you love and hate the things that you hate. I need your word to light up the darkness around me. I need a promise to believe in and clear goals established to help me grow in our relationship. Please help me with these things.
In Jesus' name, Amen. Now that you've said your spiritual warfare prayers, if this is what you really want, you need to be persistent. Don't give up! Continue to cry out to God until he turns your vision into focus.
