pray for my daughter

Please pray for my daughter. She's 25, has always been sweet, thoughtful, great with people and has done well in school. She graduated April w/masters in Occupational Therapy and moved to Boulder, Co. for a job. She is living with a 40 yr. old man who seems to have a major hold on her.

He is exposing her to some very different ways. Please pray for my daughter. We have always been very close but had our 1st major fight over something he took her to and they did that is not acceptable in my eyes. I told her I thought she had more respect for herself than that. She cried.

But, she is still with him, has completely given up her christian views, and can't see why I don't like him. She has almost completely cut everyone else off back here in Michigan, her way of thinking and acting mimics him. I know that the more I let her know my disapproving feelings she will just be pushed to him. YET, I can't lie and pretend I like him. Call it my mother's intuition but he is not good for her.

She has always been able to see through things and be her own person and not do or do things that she knew needed changing. BUT, with him, his way is the ONLY way. She says this is the real her and we just never allowed it. HELP!

Others that have seen her see the changes as well and don't see him as a positive influence in her life. Please pray for all of us. For me that I can handle the stress of it all (had cancer) and be guided by the Holy Spirit, for her so that she sees through all of his manipulations and control and can find herself again, and for him that he somehow sets her free.

I ask you this in the Lord's name to pray for my daughter and am so appreciative and relieved to find this site. I KNOW GOD is powerful as are all of your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jean
