The Judgment of Hell

The Judgment of Hell can stir the imagination like no other topic. The basic thought of an endless torment that awaits MANY can paralyze even the greatest minds if given enough biblical thought.

I can assure you that our culture has told you at least one lie about the judgment of Hell and the reason it exists. If you don't know your bible inside-out, I bet you bought the lie. Yeah, I bet you did.

Let's gaze upon the face of God.

Let's examine his reasons.

Let's attempt to fathom his power.

Lets brainstorm his beautiful creation - Hell.

First Up - The History of Hell (View more...)

Yes, Hell has a recorded history. An epic one.

Satan himself was once an angel of God's. Hard to believe, huh? When Satan saw that God created man in His own image, Satan grew jealous. Out of this same jealousy, he made the decision to force Man to worship him instead of God - and he was successful.

Since one of God's attributes is justice, God was obligated by His own character to punish this disobedience. The Judgment of Hell was born.

The Location of Hell (View more...)

Imagine yourself walking the busy streets of New York City. A city full of life. The complete expression of modern civilization. A city full of people, education, love, comfort, fun, opportunities, accomplishments, and so forth.

Is it actually possible that just a considerable amount of miles beneath your very feet could be an underworld that exists only to harness the infinitely powerful wrath of a holy God to demonstrate never-ending punishment to His enemies?

The judgment of Hell? Right below the very ground that you are currently standing on?

Is it actually a reality that mankind could dig a deep enough hole in the earth to set up a uni-directional microphone and digitally record the very place spoken of in the ancient texts?

Yes.

All indications point to a Hell that lies beneath our feet. Every "location-themed" biblical reference to Hell I could find gives an indication that Hell is either down or below. Yep, straight of of the text.

Hell is a real, physical and geographical location.

The Eternity of Hell (View more...)

The judgment of Hell is feared mostly for this small little upsell: Eternity.

The mysterious chains of time rattling with every move made in agony. Can you even fathom the thought of wearing out 3 billion years in a place you wouldn't even want to see Hitler go, and then looking up and realizing that not even a second has gone by: that an eternity still remains?

Read 2 Thessalonians 1:9 and you will see biblical reference to verify that Hell lasts forever. In that same verse you will also see that you will experience eternal separation from God. Once your there, it will be too late to have faith. God will not hear you when you scream for Him.

It will be THEN that those who need proof that God exists will find the proof they were looking for.

The Suffering of Hell

Satan is not the manager down in Hell. Satan does not own Hell. He's scared to go there. As a matter of fact, as far as I know, Satan has never even been to Hell.

You may be familiar with the judgment of Hell being described with fire. How about a furnace? Or a lake of fire?

Sounds inviting doesn't it?

Pain is always the first to come to mind. But let me give you a hint: that's only one of your senses. You've got 4 more to be challenged by the mind of an infinitely creative God.

Heaven vs Hell (View more...)

I can safely assume that anybody with a biblical understanding of the Judgment of Hell doesn't want to call it home sweet home for eternity. The only good thing about Hell is that it glorifies God's justice.

Based on the idea that everyone on the planet has sinned since the dawn of man, our default destination is Hell to pay the price for raising our fists up to God and screaming...

"NO, We will NOT submit!"

But even this story has a Hero..

Jesus Christ was well aware of the eternal separation we were all destined to face. He lived a sinless life and chose to put himself in front of your bullet. When He died, He was dying not only FOR you, but also BECAUSE of you. If you enter into a trust relationship with Christ, you will appear before God on judgment day as though you never sinned.

When your standing naked before God on that great day, which would you rather hear?

Well done, My good and faithful servant. Or...

I never knew you. Depart from me you worker of iniquity

The choice is YOURS
