What This Means For You...
When Jesus Christ died for us, he paid the penalty for our sins, and the wrath of almighty God that should have fallen on you. Although this article is a great refresher for followers of Jesus Christ, I'm directing it more toward those that do not follow him as salvation information. If your here today as an unsaved individual, one who has never received the salvation gift, this WILL BE the most important 5 minutes of your life. You will understand why Jesus Christ died for us and what it means for YOU. You see, I don't like reading books, and I've probably only read 10 books in my life. I like to get straight to the point without reading 200+ pages (unless it's the bible). That's what I've done for you here, so it's a simple read.

Who You Really Are
I want to tell you who you are and show you the reality of the world around you. Sin is breaking God's law, trying to BE God even when you don't realize it. 
Don't believe me? God says "do it my way" and you say "no, I live by MY agenda". We do it everyday! Show me the man who has never told a lie (one of the ten commandments). Romans 3:23 tells us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." That means we were born radically depraved and God hating. You may say "I've loved God ever since I was a child" No, you loved an image of God that you created with your own mind and you loved what you made, but if someone came to you and pointed out the God of scripture, you would say "I could never love a God like that." If Jesus Christ is not the core of your life, you are a God hating sinner worthy of nothing but Hell (I used to be, too). If this offends you, read on.

I see it in various places: bumper stickers, t-shirts, internet ads. The phrase "God is love" is no secret. There's one problem: How can a loving God send someone to hell? If God loves holiness, he hates sin. If he loves children, he hates abortion. 
Did you know that God hates sinners? Not just sin, but sinners! So why would God allow someone that defiles his image and everything he stands for to enter into his kingdom? He doesn't! God will throw you into the eternal furnace called "the lake of fire" or commonly known as hell. Do you know what hell is like? It's wrath cannot be communicated with human language. It's that intense. You will never leave. You have offended an eternal holy God, so your punishment will eternally glorify him. Jesus said that Hell is to be "avoided at all costs." If Jesus Christ is not the core of your life, this is where you will become a permanent resident. If this offends you, read on.

What Jesus' Death Meant
 Many know that Jesus Christ died for us on the cross, but few know that while on the cross, he bore your sin. You see, God wants to spend an eternity with you. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth to pay the penalty for your sins. He is the only gate between you and God. So if anyone passes from earth to heaven, it is because they went through the only gate known as Jesus Christ. There is no other way to heaven, period. Steps To Salvation
If you have learned that your default destination is hell, and you have a passion to be with God in heaven, this can only be done by entering into a trust relationship with Jesus Christ. Take these steps to salvation to ask Jesus Christ into your heart.
