A Friendship Prayer
A friendship prayer is when you pray for a friend, asking God to help them through their problems, or maybe just look over them. You've already taken a big step in your faith by ending up here. You've chosen to seek God for the answer to your friends problems. It's also great to keep in mind that God is sooo much more than a problem solver. I just learned recently to view life "not as a problem to be solved, but a work to be made."

God As Your Only Provider
 I understand while I'm writing this page that there's a million different problems your friend could be dealing with.The bible has the answer to all of them! Assuming your friend is a born-again christian, do this: Sit down with your friend with a bible. Ask your friend this:" What does God's word say and are you going to obey it?" You need to put your friend in a position where they see God as their only provider. If that's not possible (maybe they don't recognize they have a problem), drop to your knees and pray for them.

How Does God Meet Our Needs?
If you haven't done so, Please read this passage. It shows how God provides for us, even when you don't realize it. I realized it's funny how God works. He may be building faith in your friend. I went through a similar situation once where he stripped me of all the things I loved that he hated, so I would fall on my knees and realize He was the only thing I should put my faith in. Then I read in Ezekiel "I will cleanse you of all your filthy idols." Is that what God is doing to your friend? Think that one over.
 A special note on prayer - When you pray, how long do you pray for? How often do you pray? Everybody prays for 5 minutes! Walking with God should be a 24 hour/day experience! There's nothing wrong with spending 3 hours praying to God! He's patient and will listen!

What Should I Say?
Dear God,
My friend seems to be going through struggles right now. I don't understand what your plan is for my friend, but I beg you to build their faith in you. Teach them to call on your name for ALL their needs, and seek you before worldly resolutions. I ask you to help them out through their problems, and to watch over them. If there's any way this situation will help them grow closer to you, please allow it to do so.
