How to honor God on Easter
Our Easter prayers are meaningless if we forget the true meaning of Easter. It's a celebration that was started due to the crucifiction of Jesus Christ paying the penalty for our sins. Although his physical death is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard, which really hit me hard after watching "The Passion", We celebrate because we now have a hero that saved us from eternal torment. If you say your prayers on the anniversary of his death without mentioning Jesus Christ, you've forgotten the very core of the celebration.

A Modern Day Godless Tradition
 I may be the first 21 year old to ever honestly say this, but I hate the Easter bunny! When I have kids, they will not be awaiting some "twisted form of Satan's deceitful plot to forget Jesus" to show up with candy. Look what we've done! We've turned the greatest gift mankind will ever receive into a godless tradition. I think it was done to make the holiday more morally acceptable to non-believers. Please don't fall into this trap. I fell into it as a kid and never knew the true story of Jesus until I turned 19. If you want your children to receive eternal life through Jesus Christ, you need to tell them what Easter really stands for!How to honor God on Easter - Please, if you claim yourself to be saved, remember Jesus on Easter. Pray to God and tell him how thankful you are that he sent you a savior. Remember, he didn't send Satan a savior, and he didn't have to send you one either. That's called "grace".

What Should I Say?
 Dear God, Thank you for sending your son Jesus to the cross for us. Through his death, we can now receive life. A life that will be eternal and will never wear away, unlike the modern day celebration you would spew out of your mouth as it does nothing more than bring less glory to your door. Please allow us to enjoy this day, focusing on the greatest sacrifice you've ever made to such a depraved, wicked people like us: the gift of eternal life. Today is about Jesus, but there are many "out there" that are deceived and do not know biblical truth. Please work within them, and teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus! In Jesus' name, Amen If said in this way, your Easter prayers honor God for recognizing the great sacrifice he made for us. Please tell others the truth about Jesus, the only reason we celebrate the holiday.
