The Crucifiction of Jesus Christ
Jesus Carrying the Cross of Salvation
The Crucifiction of Jesus Christ was the event of Jesus dying on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins. This event was revealed to him long before his trial from his father in heaven. At the Last Supper, he told his disciples "I will die in a way that has been decided for me, but it will be horrible for the one who betrays me." His disciple Judas betrayed him several hours later. We must keep in mind that a sinless man gave his own life to save us from the fires of hell.If a man pushed you out of the way of an 18 wheeler to save you, how would you feel about that person? They tacked on a few extra years to your life, right? The crucifiction of Jesus Christ tacks on an eternity for anyone who enters into a trust relationship with him (Get to know him!).
The Crucifiction of Jesus Christ Jesus carrying the cross
Jesus was found guilty in a very unfair trial, and was sentenced to crucifiction on a cross by Pilate. Early in the morning, the cross was tied to his back, and he was forced to carry it to Golgotha (place of a skull), which was a common place for criminals to be crucified. Out of extreme exhaustion, Jesus collapsed, and could not finish carrying the cross. A guard ordered a Jew to carry the cross for him. They finally arrived at the site of crucifiction, and the work of putting Jesus Christ to death began.
The Crucifiction of Jesus Christ His Death For Our Life

Jesus had nails driven through his hands and feet, and with a crown of thorns on his head, he was lifted high on the cross. A sign was nailed to the cross behind his head saying, " This is the King of the Jews." Jesus spoke seven times from the cross, once to his father in heaven, saying "forgive them father, for they know not what they do." Since this form of death can take up to several hours, the guards found a way to entertain themselves. They began gambling for his clothes. Finally, one of the criminals being crucified next to him spoke up. They knew of his claim to be God's son, and the first criminal told him " save yourself, and us." The second criminal, although obviously having a past of making wrong decisions, made a very wise decision with his use of words. " We are being punished justly and are getting what our bad deeds deserve, but this man has done nothing wrong." He asked Jesus to remember him when he enters into his kingdom. Jesus said, " I promise you, today you will be with me in paradise." Then Jesus spoke his last words, and his last breath departed from him.
The Crucifiction of Jesus Christ What Did His Death Mean?
Jesus Christ was the son of God, and lived a sinless life, avoiding every single temptation that crossed his path. Jesus predicted his death, and told his disciples that he would die to take the penalty for our sins. The free gift of salvation is right at your fingertips, and all you have to do it accept it. But once your time on earth has expired, the free gift of salvation is no longer available, and as a sinner you will be cast into the lake of fire, meaning hell. Entering into a trust relationship with Christ is a very big decision, but the reward is everlasting life in paradise with God. If this is a decision you have not made yet, or just want to learn more, I did a page on salvation you might be interested in.
