A child prayer is extremely essential for parents to be aware of. Children are young and their knowledge is limited. In the same way that you are a parent to your children, so is God. He is the parent that makes it all happen! He is the provider of hunger, shelter, clothing, knowledge, strength, and the list that never ends! You, as a parent, are the one God uses to provide these things. God tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray constantly. Be aware of those you should be praying for! Children prayers are very important in a child's development.

Just How Important Is Prayer?
 God himself has made himself known to us. He is the almighty creator of everything the eye can see. Through the blood of Jesus Christ bearing our sin on the cross, we can approach God humbly as though we've never sinned! After accepting Jesus Christ as personal savior, the bible becomes alive! He tells us to make our needs known to him, because we have a relationship with him. As a parent, you are responsible to oversee and raise your children according to the word of God. This is only possible if done through God. You will need to have a very close relationship with God, which can only be accomplished through prayer and frequent bible study. If having your child grow up to become a man or woman of God is one of your needs, then pray for that!
An Example: God considered Job a man of great faith. He always lit a candle at the end of the day in case his children had sinned at some point during that day. His faith was so great, he was tested by Satan himself in an effort to shatter his faith. After losing literally everything on earth he valued, he maintained his faith in God, praising him through his toughest times. Don't forget that during your toughest times when nothing seems to be going the way you want it to, you have an opportunity many others may not have: to show a greater amount of faith!

 In light of what you may have learned in the words above, I hope you have a better understanding of how essential prayer can be in the development of your children. Allow God to be their father and he will teach them things their earthly father never could. He will begin shaping them into a young man or woman of God at a very young age. The child prayer below should be said after you have already accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior.Dear God, You've told me to make my needs known to you, and I understand that since you've blessed me with a child, I have a responsibility to care for him/her. I cannot raise this child on my own. I don't want him/her to get caught up in trying to become successful in this world, or trying to follow his/her own agenda. I only ask that you will help me raise my child according to YOUR agenda, because you can see the big picture that I cannot. Please be the parent for my child in all the areas that I fail. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus' name, Amen Now that you've said this child prayer, I strongly encourage you to try to find the words yourself.
