A Cancer Prayer
A cancer prayer asking God to heal you can be a very emotional prayer. Upon finding out you've been diagnosed with cancer, it's likely you may have blamed God for your misfortune. I'm sure it comes as a very real reminder that we are not in control, God is. I don't know who you are and what background you come from. I don't know If God is a part of your life. All I know is that the bible says that "all things in this world are passing away". I'm sure if you've come to grips with the fact your days might be limited, you've also thought about the afterlife. Before saying any form of cancer prayer, I want to make sure you are saved. For the unsaved, death will come as the arresting officer, but for the saved, death will be the chauffeur.

Are You "Saved"?
 Many will tell you that Jesus Christ died on the cross. This is common knowledge in America. What very few know is the truth: while Jesus Christ was on the cross, he bore your sin, and suffered the wrath of almighty God that should have fallen on you. In the book of Colossians, a book in the bible, It says that Jesus rescued us. So by becoming a christian, you are not joining, nor signing up, nor buying in. You are being rescued! When Jesus died, so did we (in our sins). He rose again 3 days later (and so did we). See how it works? So by entering into a trust relationship and doing the will of the father, you are saved and appear before God on judgment day as though you never sinned! Do you want to go to heaven? If you want to go, don't reason that you want to go there because the alternative is horrible. Any snake will run away from a fire in the field. Do it because you want to be with God! After praying to ask Jesus into your heart, if you don't feel like he has saved you, you can either keep crying out to him until he saves you or you can give up and go to hell. You can start out by saying something like this. And remember that God will tell you when you are saved. Dear God I now understand that when Jesus Christ died on the cross, he died to pay the penalty for my sins. I want to enter into a relationship with you and accept your offer of grace. Please save me from your wrath, and deliver me from what I've become. I don't want to continue in sin, living everyday of my life in a way that offends a holy God. I really want to learn more about what is being offered to me here, so please open up a window for me to grow in my relationship with you. In Jesus' name, Amen

What Should I Say?
 If you are saved, you understand that, although death is not something to look forward to, your future is so full of excitement it cannot be expressed in the human language. But maybe you feel that it's just not your time to go yet. I knew someone in 5th grade that passed away from cancer. It's really, really sad. I don't have cancer, but if I did, I would probably say something like this:Dear God, I really don't see the big picture like you do; I don't have all the pieces. I don't understand why you decided to "give me cancer", but I trust that you know what your doing. God, you are in control of the wheel here, but I really feel that I have much more in my life to accomplish. I'm asking for you to cure me of my illness. I know you have even the power to raise up rocks that could sing better than me, so within you is the power to rid me of this disease. Because it's not always easy to discern what your will is, if you decide to take me to your eternal kingdom, I'm willing to accept that. But please hear my cry for healing! In Jesus' name, Amen If what you just said in this cancer prayer is really what you want, pray several times/day. I think God likes persistence.
