Can Satan Be Saved?

by gary hart
(Miami, Florida USA)

I was wondering.. can Satan be saved? I mean, God is fair right? If He sent us all a savior, if Satan wanted to, can't he accept Jesus Christ into his life?

Sooner or later, Satan's gotta realize whats going to happen to him if he keeps walking in all this evil! And plus... "anything is possible with God".

Satan-Babylon King.... ?
by: Rick Smith

I reply to the post by anonymous regarding the identity of Satan; as written in Isiah, Lucifer was around a long time before the world ever was created much less populated. In most commentaries Satan is seen as a rival of Jesus to God Himself. As an evil person being in the presence of God, Lucifer was not created in God's image as was man. Lucifer does not carry the eventual curse as did man at the fall. Angelic beings are not explained in great detail in the Scriptures, only their duties as messengers, punishes or enacts the will of God. As it is, if we simply keep our hearts and eyes on Jesus, Satan will not be our concern but God's.

Truth
by: Anonymous

The satan is a created being whose job is to tempt/test/and be an adversary towards mankind. He isn't a "fallen angel". Those who believe this cannot read and completely misunderstand the fact that "Lucifer" in the Bible is referring to the King of Babylon, not an angel.

Notice in the book of Job that the satan actually holds council with God on Yom Kippur. How can a sinful entity be in the presence of a Most Holy God let alone hold a conversation with him as in the book of Job? The reason is people don't understand the satan at all and this has stunted their spiritual growth in the worst way.

Angelic Salvation?
by: Rick

As I have and read the Scriptures, I would offer an opinion that Satan could not receive salvation even if he asked. As an ultimate sworn enemy of God it would seem doubtful he would seek forgiveness of God. Satan was there when God and Christ formed the universe. As Isiah recorded, it seems the war in heaven may have occurred during the creation with Satan and his angels. The angels are mentioned as marveling at Christ's sacrifice for the world/humans. It would from all I have studied in the writings of Paul, angels are not eligible for redemption 1st being the fact they are not human nor possess a soul. 2nd there is no mention they were created in the image of God as we are.
