Birthday Prayer
Your birthday prayer means that another year has rolled around. It's time to thank the big guy! But do your birthday prayers really honor God? What I'm asking is, do you have Jesus in your life? If you do, you are one of the few who celebrate 2 different birthdays. Basically what I'm getting at here is this: If you are what the bible calls "saved", you celebrate your physical birth and you celebrate the day God saved you, making you a born again christian (when Jesus Christ died, so did the old "you". When he rose again, so did the new "you" ). If you only celebrate one birthday, and Jesus Christ is not a reality in your life, you have no reason to believe you have eternal life in heaven with God.

If You Only Celebrate One Birthday/Year
 If you've never entered into a trust relationship with Jesus Christ, you only celebrate your physical birthday. I can't stress it enough: your not going to heaven! Let me introduce the gospel to you. God himself became a man (Jesus) and lived a sinless life while here on earth. He died on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins. Three days later, he rose from the dead. If you seek him with all your mind, body and strength, he will save you from your sins, leaving you sinless before God on judgment day. That means you will enter the kingdom of heaven. Along with accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, you must also do the will of the father. This is a free gift! Jesus bought you with his blood! So how do you get "saved?" Well, you must say the following prayer. This prayer is not a magical formula. You must humble yourself and keep calling out to God until he saves you. And when he does, you'll know it!Dear God, I realize that I am a sinner, and I have done nothing but offend you since my early childhood. I have just learned that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for my sins on the cross, and I want to accept your gift of eternal life through his finished work. God, I don't want to live like this anymore. I want to hate the things you hate and love the things you love. I want to be saved from the punishment I deserve. God, please save me. I will continue to cry out to you until you do. In Jesus name, Amen

If You Celebrate Two Birthdays/Year
 If you have already been truly saved, and Jesus is not just some accessory you add on to your life, but he's the very core of everything you are, then Happy Birthday! I hope you can dedicate the day to focusing on the grace of God. Praise God for another year.Dear God, Today is my birthday and, even though I don't always realize it, every day is truly a blessing. Thank you for saving me and allowing me to come so far. Please help me to focus the rest of the day on the grace you've poured out over me, because I don't even deserve to remain breathing, yet here I am celebrating another birthday, another milestone as my days draw closer to the day we will be together for eternity. Thank you Lord. I don't deserve it, but thank you! In Jesus name, Amen. Your birthday prayer, if said in this way, bring glory to God. Seriously try to focus the remainder of the day on the grace of God. Happy Birthday!
