Baptism

by Roy
(Bakersfield)

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commanded his desiples to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2:38 The disciples baptised in the name of Jesus, and were not repremanded by Jesus.

Why did Jesus not punish his desiples for disobeying him?

Jesus said in Matthew - it will be according to your faith - If you're being baptized in the Name of Jesus or in the Name of the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit (remember that they are all one and all in one - 1x1x1=1) and if you believe with all your heart that you are washed and purified - it will be so.

Thats how I understand it.

I just feel that if your daugter or son comes to you to ask something or give you something and they only use your first name and not your last name, are you going to chase them away and forsake them because of that? First name, last name, doesn't matter, you'll be overwhelmed just by the fact that they came to you.

Just a thought.
