A baby prayer is a prayer asking God to look over your baby. To parents, your child is the most precious thing you have. They are a part of you, and you wish the best for them. Ultimately, God is their true father, the one who breathed life into them. Because your child is His first, it is very important that you raise your child according to his will, which he will help you with. But what exactly is God's will? How can you know your doing the "right thing the right way"

Can I Trust God With My Children?
 Asking God to raise your child can be a very big trust issue for parents. Do you know why? Parents don't want the same things for their children as God does. Parents want their children to grow up, go to college, get married, become extremely successful, and live a happy life. While many of these things are godly plans, you have to realize that the ultimate outcome that God wants for your children is this: God wants your children to grow up to become like Jesus Christ. This is the main goal! And that's it! If they enter into a trust relationship with Jesus Christ, God will begin to mold them into the character he wants them to be, and guiding them through every step of life. God, with his infinite knowledge, will take control. So even if your child never goes to college, never gets married (although they probably will), never becomes successful, i can assure you if they've entered into a trust relationship with Jesus Christ, they will have died with a huge smile on their face, awaiting their journey into eternal excitement!

Handing Over Everything To God
 Assuming you've already trusted God with every aspect of your life, you should have no problem handing over your child to him, praying that He will raise your child the way He wants to. If your still asking yourself whether or not you can trust him, here's your answer: HE MADE THE WORLD! So how do you hand over everything to God? You have to understand that GOD KNOWS. If you want him to fix your broken life, you have to give him all the pieces.

What Should I Say?
Dear God,I'm very protective of my child, and I know there are certain people in this world I wouldn't trust with my child. But your not like them. I'm asking you to help me raise my child according to your will, not mine or his/her's. There may also be a couple other areas in my life that I haven't really handed over to you yet. Please make them known to me. I trust you God, and thank you for being a God I can trust in. Please build my faith in you! In Jesus' name, Amen You've said more than just a baby prayer, you've told God that you TRUST HIM! If you really want God to build your faith in Him, be persistence. And don't just pray it because I told you to. I'm praying for the same thing =)
